Content strategy audit: build authority content that converts

Your startup has compelling solutions, but when prospects research your space, they can’t differentiate you from competitors, with the same AI-produced generic content on the same topics flooding every channel in sight.

Sound familiar?

Decision-makers choose the company that’s already established brand authority – and content plays a huge role in that, but only if it truly stands out from the crowd.

Find the content opportunities your brand can own

This audit identifies unique authority content opportunities only your startup can own – proprietary data insights for original research, thought leaders to partner with (internal or external), contrarian market views, or creative series ideas that competitors can’t replicate

Instead of following tired content playbooks, you’ll walk away with ideas for brand-positioning content that make prospects choose you over competitors when they’re ready to buy.

“The strategic insight Tabitha provided completely shifted how we think about content. Instead of generic ‘how to’ advice, we’re now creating content that showcases our unique data advantages – and the results speak for themselves.”

– Startup Marketing Director

How it works

Step 1: Content analysis

You provide all the context you have to hand (as rough as you like):

  • Brand story, values, POV, voice guidelines
  • Content goals, success metrics, current performance data
  • Voice of the customer (call transcripts, pain point analysis, feedback)
  • Competitor list
  • Partner ecosystem
  • Existing content assets – including any sales enablement content
  • Current content performance data

I turn that into a content analysis that includes mapping pain points, identifying information gaps (gaps, opportunities, oversaturated topics), channel and format fit, and so on.

Step 2: Strategic recommendations

Based on the content analysis, I then deliver a report (via a 60-minute presentation call) with three differentiated content concepts aligned with your core content goals – it could be ideas for a creative LinkedIn series, or an interactive microsite, or an original research report campaign, all depending on what makes sense for your unique brand, audience, and goals.

The report includes:

  • Clear rationale based on the content analysis
  • 90-day implementation roadmap – what’s needed to get started
  • Success metrics tied to your goals

“Your customers are desperately seeking advice on X because current industry guidance is outdated, you’re uniquely positioned to address this because of Y internal expertise, and here’s Z creative opportunity to make it stand out.”

From there, it’s over to your internal team to implement the recommendations – but if further support is needed to do that, I’m here to help.
